Description

Specifically developed for road racing, track day use and performance road riding, the FIM-approved, Tech-Air® 7x System, is Alpinestars’ latest airbag system built from MotoGP-proven tech. Fully autonomous and self-contained, it delivers streamlined, ventilated protection across the shoulders, chest, full back, and coccyx. Designed for standalone use or integration with Tech-Air® compatible suits and jackets, the Tech-Air® 7x adapts to closed-circuit racing, road, and light off-road riding. With 12 onboard sensors and AI-driven crash detection, the system deploys the Airbag in as little as 44ms—cutting impact force by up to 90% vs. passive back CE Level 1 protection.

Key Features

Dual Ride Modes: RACE for track, STREET for road/light off-road—switchable via the Tech-Air® App. FIM-approved and optimized for Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready gear or third-party suits with 4 cm chest clearance. Convertible system: wear standalone or integrated. Dual inflator setup supports two deployments before service. Quick-release cover for rapid gas inflator replacement by users (only available in countries where gas inflator replacement by individuals is permitted by local regulations) Lithium-ion battery: 20 hours per charge; 1 hour = ~8 hours ride time. Auto on/off via magnetic Front Flap closure. Washable base layer with removable electronics and Airbag.

Protection

Fully FIM-approved and certified under CE Category II PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) under European Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Certified to: – Technical disciplinary for inflatable protectors with electronic activation – Rev. n°5 of 13/10/2023 – EN 17092-6:2020, Class C (Protective Garment) – EN 1621-2:2014, Level 1 (Integrated Passive Central Back protector) Extended back protector includes coccyx coverage. 12-sensor array: 3 accelerometers, 1 gyroscope, tuned for performance riding. Smart algorithm triggers Airbag deployment in under 44ms. Airbag rated for 4 deployments (if undamaged) before having to replace it. Optimized crash detection for both Race and Street riding. Tech-Air® 7x System is certified as an undergarment, to be used in combination with and under a protective garment.

Tech-Air® Returns

Due to regulations for transport of dangerous goods by air (IATA) and road (ADR), consumers are not permitted to ship Tech-Air® products themselves for return or servicing. In the event of a return or service request you must therefore deliver the goods in person to one of our Tech-Air® Hubs. Please ensure you first contact our Customer Care team to receive confirmation of the correct Hub and approval before visiting. Tech-Air® Hubs are currently available in select countries. Additional locations across Europe will be launched soon. Please use the map below to find your closest Tech-Air® Hub. By purchasing a Tech-Air® product on the Alpinestars website, you acknowledge and accept this return policy. If you still decide to ship your Tech-Air® product as a return, Alpinestars Spa will not be held responsible for the transit of such goods and will not accept them as returns. Construction

Integrated LED display shows system status, battery, and inflator count. System can be connected to the LED display on the left arm of Alpinestars Tech-Air® compatible suits or jackets, or to the new Tech-Air® 7x System wired LED display available as an accessory, to be used with the new generation of Tech-Air® 7x compatible garments equipped with the dedicated LED display pocket and wire channeling. USB-C charging port accessible even when worn. ECU is located within a robust shell. The vest and componentry are certified to function between -10⁰C and 50⁰C. Ventilated chassis with airflow channels and ribbed lining. Strategic stretch zones for race-ready fit. Auto-deflation valve activates after deployment. Removable Airbag, electronics, and inflators for maintenance. Bluetooth sync with Tech-Air® App for System’s operational status, updates, battery status, and MyRide trip information which can be easily accessed on a mobile device.
